The Youth Conference means several things to me. It means reuniting with old friends while meeting new ones because I always look forward to sharing experiences from others around the country. It also means having fun while increasing my knowledge and understanding in the Word because service is always so relaxed and uplifting because Bishop has a way of educating even the youngest in the audiance. And lastly, the conference means HEAT!!! No matter where it is held,or how you dress it will be HOTT!!!

My most memorable moments from a past Youth Conference was the trip to "Holy Ghost Tennessee". After hearing the Friday night service live, about six of us made a split decision to get to the conference. We all ran to our homes, packed our clothes and hopped on the interstate to drive 16 hours to Tennessee. We went by faith because no one was over the age of 25 and none of us had much money. We had just enough funds for gas and we packed sandwiches for the road trip. We had no place to stay but knew that family and friends at the Conference would receive us well (just talking faith). None of the saints from Delaware knew we were coming but were so excited to see us that they put us up in their various hotels and fed us and welcomed us to the Conference with open arms.
Looking back on that trip, I know that it was nothing but the Grace of God that took us there and brought us back safely. That was one of the BEST conferences that I have ever attended. I'm glad I did not miss it.

I am looking forward to being off of work and focusing all of my energy on the excitement that is generated at the Youth Conference. The Delaware YP "Alumni" *smile* will be driving out 2 vans of young people to the conference and I am really looking forward to that road trip. I have started my countdown and I'm ready to GO!!!

We can create mentor program as well as position shadowing that would allow our youth to learn from our current leaders. We need to also create more of a forum for our young people to act in leadership roles through activities and programs that they will be held responsible for leading with guidance and direction from senior leaders within the organization. Our youth need more visibility within the organization as well as opportunities to represent the church outside of our organization through volunteer programs and engagement with other organizations. Engagement is key . . . what motivates, drives, and energizes our young people. Are we providing what they need to feel the involvement that we are looking for?

Spiritually, I want to continue to grow in the Word, and do the things that God would find pleasing. In order to accomplish that, I believe that I will be spending the next four years PRAYING for His mercy. *smile*
Naturally, for the next for years, I just want to be able to keep me head above water and make a way when I can. *smile* You know the lyrics so sing with me...GOOD TIMES!!! Student Loan repayment starts now that I have graduated from college with my Mater's, but God is just so good that no matter the weather, I will be blessed. Jesus got my back!

Peace and love to all.

I believe that I would choose a mentor that has qualities that I aspire to strengthen or acquire. I always want to be better tomorrow then I am today. Because no one person has all of the qualities that would truly desire in a mentor, I utilize different individuals for the various qualities that I need at that particular stage in my life.

Spiritually, I would like to grow in the knowledge of the word and continue to have faith in God and may God bless me on my journey through like and continue to be with me. Naturally, within four years I would be graudating from college and start my career/business in fashion design and I hope that will be a great success and I want to start working on my master in business and if God's well my doctrine too.

I would like to answer both; spiritually, not sure if I can put a timeline on God's will for me, but my spiritual desire is to remain on God's radar that He would never leave me and continue to guide me to be all I can be as a good Christian. I want to love more and hate less. I want to pray more for others as well as for myself. I desire to notice every little blessing from God from someone giving me their sit on the subway to purchasing a new home and being able to afford it. I love the Lord and I want to stay with Him. As for naturally, I desire to hit the Mega Lottery and give the church 10% of my winnings, because I love Bishop too, he is doing great things for the church and I want to be apart it! Now I would love it if the latter (winning the lottery) could happen within the next 4 years, if God should spare my life, get excited! :)
